EPL: You moan a lot, be mature – Jordan slams Conte over comments on Mikel Arteta
Former Crystal Palace chairman, Simon Jordan, has hit out at Tottenham Hotspur boss, Antonio Conte, over his comments on Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta in the wake of the Gunners’ Premier League derby 3-0 defeat to Spurs a few days ago.
Arsenal suffered a setback in their top-four quest after losing against Tottenham on Thursday.
The match featured several controversial moments, with Arsenal conceding a penalty and also having a player sent off.
After the match, Arteta was visibly furious in his post-match interview and refused to comment on the refereeing decision, claiming he would be banned for the next six months if he said what he thought.
But Conte was asked about Arteta’s comments, and the Italian advised his counterpart to stop moaning.
However, his remark about Arteta has been condemned by Jordan, who claimed Conte is not in a position to criticise Arteta on the subject as he also moans a lot, adding that he needs to be mature.
“I don’t know how he has the audacity to comment on the fact Arteta moans and groans about things, all of them do the same thing.
“I don’t think Mikel Arteta was asking for advice on his coaching from Antonio Conte,” Jordan told talkSPORT.
He added, “And, maybe, Antonio Conte could take some advice about acting like a mature individual when things are not going his way. He had a temperamental hissy fit two or three months ago, ‘I don’t think I’m good enough’.”
