Gov Buni mourns as Yobe undergraduate dies in fatal road crash in India
Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, has expressed sorrow over the sudden death of Galadima Bulama, a Yobe student schooling in India
Bulama had died in an accident.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued on Wednesday by Mamman Mohammed, Director General Press and Media Affairs to the Governor.
“It is with total submission to the will of Allah (SWT) that we received the sad news of the death of one of our students studying in India, Galadima Bulama.
“It is saddening that the young man with a bright future died at this time but, as Muslims, we believed it is the will of Allah (SWT)”, the governor said.
Buni on behalf of himself, the government and people of Yobe condoled the family of the late Galadima with a very heavy heart.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased in Aljannatur Firdausi and to the family, the fortitude to bear the loss.
According to the statement, Galadima, one of 233 students sponsored by the Yobe State government, was an undergraduate of Medical Lab Science in India.
He reportedly died Wednesday morning after injuries sustained in a motor accident yesterday.
“Galadima went to buy a mobile phone and was disembarking from the bus when he missed a step, hit his head and sustained internal injuries.
Until his death, the deceased received the best Medical attention, as the school authority and the hospital where he was admitted had remained in touch with the state government”, the statement added.
Meanwhile, Galadima will be buried in India according to Islamic rites on the authority of his parents and the state government.
A government delegation has been drafted to pay official condolence to the family of the late Galadima.
