Insecurity: We have not been paid allowances for eight months – Policemen cry in Zamfara
Some police operatives on special duties in Zamfara State have lamented that they have not been paid their operational allowances for eight months.
The aggrieved policemen told DAILY POST that they had been confronting bandits and risking their lives in Zamfara, yet their allowances were being withheld.
According to one of them, “the allowances earmarked for us has not been paid for eight months now.
“When we put intense pressure, they now brought money and started paying N20,000 per police mobile officer and not all of us were paid, especially those operating within the forest.”
They pleading with the Federal and the State governments to come to their rescue “and pay us arrears of eight month allowances to motivate us.
“We cannot be serving our fatherland with our might only to be treated wrongly as if we are not human beings”.
