Nigerian govt can end banditry activities in Zamfara – Public commentator

A public commentator, Alhaji Abubakar Made has confirmed that banditry activities in Zamfara State can be addressed if the federal government of Nigeria is so willing to address the issue.

According to him, the closure of main markets in Zamfara State can never end the banditry activities in the State until the government was ready to produce the logistics suppliers and sponsors.

He said that even after closing of major markets, the market behavior in the state has drastically changed as buyers in the state are no longer patronizing the markets due to financial setbacks.

He challenged the government officials to visit the entire markets and see if people were happy with the government or not.

However, a market survey by this medium revealed that the the prices of foodstuff in Zamfara State markets has become very unaffordable due to escalations of prices.

It was gathered that most of the businessmen and women in the state were gradually relocating from the state to another states due to security reasons.

Our correspondent gathered that business activities in the state have gone down.

DAILY POST can authoritative report that banditry activities have not ended but can confirmed that it has reduced drastically.

But Abubakar said that, “The issue of security is the responsibility of the federal government and not the state governments. All the state governments have tried to grant security to their states but to no avail.

“I want to tell you now that if the federal government decides to end banditry in Nigeria, nothing would stop it just as when the federal government is not willing.

“I don’t want a separated Nigeria but the politicians who are interested in eating our money are far apart.
So my brothers and sisters, we are deceiving ourselves; nobody is diceiving us.”

This medium reports that businesses are now gaining grounds, especially in Gusau,the state capital, immediately after the restoration of the telecommunication network services.
