Security operatives recover corpse of native as Delta communities clash
The lifeless body of a middle-aged man, Mr. Frank Amakiri has been discovered by troops of 3 Battalion(Rear) on Operation Delta Hawk patrol as the people of Aladja and Ogbe-Ijoh Communities in Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas of Delta State battled over the demarcated boundary in their land.
The biological brother of the deceased, Micheal Amakiri has also been arrested by the security Operatives within the scene after interrogation, DAILY POST can report.
The deceased is said to be an indigene of Ogbe-Ijoh by locals who identified him.
The security operatives also recovered from the deceased, one fabrique national(FN) rifle mounted with a magazine loaded with quantity 9 rounds of 7.62mm(NATO) ammunition, one expended ammunition case and an Infinix mobile phone set.
A techno mobile phone handset was also recovered from the arrested suspect for exploitation
The security Operatives contacted the chairmen of Udu and Warri South-West Local Government Areas to douse the crisis situation just as the remains of the deceased were handed over to them.
The recovered arms and ammunition were kept in custody to aid investigations.
