In a statement issued and made available to DAILY POST by the command’s spokesman, ASP Ramhan Nansel, the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Adesina Soyemi, said a robust, comprehensive and elaborate security arrangement has been put in place throughout the state to ensure the safety of lives and properties during the period.

It added that intense surveillance and intelligence gathering will be maintained during the period and beyond.

The commissioner implored members of the public, particularly travellers and other road users to cooperate with operatives deployed on visibility policing and crime prevention patrols.

The commissioner, who felicitated with Christians and the general public, as they join the Christendom in celebrating this year’s Christmas, urged them to practice the virtues of Jesus Christ, propagating peace, demonstrating love and forgiveness as well as promoting harmonious coexistence amongst fellow citizens.
