Zamfara govt decry total collapse of industries in state
The Zamfara State government says it has become worrisome that many industrial and business activities in the state have totally collapsed, claiming it is working to revive them.
The President, Zamfara State Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Hamza Musa Mai Bulawus, made the assertions in Gusau, pointing out that if revived, the industries and commercial businesses would create job opportunities for the teeming youths.
“The State government alone cannot employ all the unemployed youths roaming the streets. So the government has decided to improve commercial activities in the state through the chamber so as to create more job opportunities” he added.
Bulawus explained that the state government through the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture has concluded all necessary arrangements to secure 5 billion naira soft loan for Zamfara State businessmen, through commercial banks.
“Every member who wishes to apply for the loan must ensure that he or she registers with the chamber so that he or she can become a genuine member”.
“The state government will pay the interest of the loan and the
management of the chamber has mapped out strategies, stressing that all the structures ranging from local government to state level have been put in place to facilitate the work.
